Father's Day Gift Ideas
Father's Day is just around the corner, so we rounded up a list of our favorite gift and celebration ideas to celebrate Dads! Our favorite idea though is anything that involves engaging kids in the celebration - after all, that's what the whole day is all about. Keep reading to see some of our favorite Father's Day celebration ideas.
1. Hugs & Fishes
If you don't have them already, invest in a few adult and kid sized fishing rods and plan an outing to go fishing on Father's Day! We love this DIY tackle box filled with candy to go along with the gift. Kids love fishing and the gift of quality time together for Dad will mean the world to him!
2. Kid Drawn Portraits
Set each child up with large card stock paper and crayons, colored pencils, etc. and have them each draw a portrait of Dad. It may sound cheesy, but your little artists are going to love wrapping up their portrait and presenting it to him on Father's Day!
3. LEGO® Memory Jar
This may be our favorite idea of all! Grab some DUPLOS® or LEGOs®, your kids and sharpie. Brainstorm activities that your kids love to do, or want to do, with Dad and write an activity on each LEGO®. Fill a mason jar with ideas and print off this free printable to finish it off. Over the year, try to tackle as many of the activities as possible. This is truly the gift that keeps on giving and encourages your family to Make Time Together all year!
4. My Dad is My Hero Story Book
If Dad loves helping with the bedtime routine and reading books, then consider customizing your own story book with his name and pictures for him to read to the kids at bedtime. There are lots of options, but we love this My Dad, My Hero, personalized book!
5. Make his favorite meal!
If DIY isn't your thing and if Dad loves to grill, then invest in some quality meat, some spices/rubs and plan the day to hang out at home running through the sprinkler and eating all of Dad's favorite foods. They say that food is the way to a man's heart after all!
6. Sock Bouquet
Who else knows a man that always requests socks for every holiday!? We love this fun spin on just boring old socks as a gift. See the full tutorial for how to twist them into a bouquet here. We also love the idea of a monthly sock subscription where he'll get a brand new fun pair of socks in the mail each month.
7. Make a LEGO® Table
If your kids and Dad are LEGO® obsessed then make your own DIY LEGO® table with our LEGO® compatible peel-and-stick baseplates. They come in tons of colors and with the sticky adhesive backing, we guarantee this is a DIY project you can manage on your own!
